News : REPRESENTATIVE JOHN LINDER TELEPHONE TOWN HALL MEETING  [8/16/2009]

Lawrenceville, GA - Representative John Linder (R-GA) will be hosting another telephone Town Hall meeting for the Seventh Congressional District, which encompasses Gwinnett, Walton, and Barrow Counties as well as the eastern portion of Forsyth County and the northern portion of Newton County.  The Town Hall call-in is scheduled for tonight, August 13, 2009, 7:00pm.

“Communicating with my constituents is a priority for me, and it is important that constituents have an opportunity to tell me where they stand.  The level of participation in our democratic process is at an extremely high level and I personally think this is what America needs.  That said, with this high level, the most efficient means of me reaching the largest number of people during this break is through this technology.”

The format will consist of a brief introduction from Representative Linder and will transition into an open question and answer format.

“I am talking with constituents every day and the level of enthusiasm that I feel is extraordinary.  We have got to work to keep this participation high by getting as many as we can engaged.  I hope that we will have a large level of participation.”

This is another in a series of Town Hall Meetings in which Congressman Linder has met with his constituents throughout 2009.  To join him on Thursday, August 13th, simply call toll free, 1-800-857-6263, at 7:00pm, and state the pass-code, “Linder Town Hall.” You will be placed immediately into the call.
